Carolyn discovered wrenching in 2000, shortly after graduating from college. A rare female mechanic, her nickname at the service station and in professional circles became "Luscious Garage."
Interest in hybrids and advanced diagnostics took her from Ann Arbor to the Bay Area. Extended study in those fields (and the pitfalls of the industry) convinced her it was time to open her own shop inspired by the hybrid: to be green, high tech, and cutting-edge.
LG was the first shop in the country dedicated exclusively to hybrids. It was named Small Green Business of the Year within its first year of business by the SF Bay Guardian. In 2012 it was the first auto repair shop certified as a Benefit Corporation. Its innovative philosophy has garnered local, national, and international press.
