What is a luscious garage?
Clean, attractive, comfortable, spacious: Luscious Garage is a place for people, not just for cars. Our new spot on 9th Street continues to offer the convenience of a downtown location in the refuge of a healthy, relaxing space. The gorgeous, historic warehouse—twenty-six foot ceilings with barrel roof and exposed beams—is filled with plants and natural light. The lounge is sunny and quiet. Read a book from our library or spread out on the table with laptop and our wifi. More than a few customers have taken a nap on the couch.
Location
A block from the 80/101 interchange, LG shares a neighborhood with Trader Joe’s, Nordstrom Rack, Peet’s Coffee, and L’Acajou Cafe and Bakery. Costco is one block away. Rainbow Grocery is two blocks. Civic Center BART/MUNI is up the street at 9th and Market.
Special Features
Personal connection is hampered by a desk; instead we use a service kiosk to collect keys, discuss wishes, and air concerns; our unique online management software, called Hyspace, makes all records available to you 24/7. Equally transparent, the workshop is open; you’re welcome to walk around or watch us work through the waiting room windows.
Air quality is tightly managed for the healthiest possible work environment, for visitors as well as staff. A lesser evil, noise pollution is still unpleasant and rarely necessary. We bias towards electric tools and operate a high efficiency air compressor (encased in a sound-reduction box) to keep shop noise (and energy consumption) to a minimum.
